The RF current travels through skin tissue heating columns (35%) of the skin. This leaves the surrounding skin intact and allows for great treatment outcomes safely with much less downtime.

Within these columns the tissue is heated to around 60 degrees (coagulation) or 100 degrees (ablation), which effectively breaks down old, existing collagen and elastin and creates new more organised tissue to form in its place.
